When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. Guérip reserves the right to accept or decline your order for any reason at its discretion. Your order is not accepted until Guérip confirms acceptance. We must receive and process your payment before your order is accepted.

PLEASE REVIEW YOUR ORDER CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING. Returns are only accepted for products with verified manufacturing defects or shipping damage. Guérip is unable to accommodate returns for ordering errors, change of mind, or other reasons not related to product defects. Ensure all product selections, quantities, colors, sizes, and specifications are correct before completing your purchase.

In the event that we do not accept, make a change to, or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you by contacting the e‑mail, billing address, and/or phone number provided at the time the order was made.

You represent and warrant that your purchases are for your own personal or household use and not for commercial resale or export.

SECTION 4 - RETURNS, REFUNDS, AND EXCHANGES POLICY

Our Returns Policy

At Guérip, we take pride in the quality of our products and want you to be satisfied with your purchase. We understand that occasionally products may arrive with issues beyond your control. For this reason, we offer a 14-day return window exclusively for products that arrive with a verifiable manufacturing defect or that were damaged during shipping.

All other sales are final. We do not accept returns, issue refunds, or process exchanges for any reason other than verified product defects or shipping damage as outlined in this section.

Eligibility for Returns

Returns are accepted only when all of the following conditions are met:

✅ The product has a verified manufacturing defect or was damaged during shipping

✅ The return request is submitted within 14 calendar days of the delivery date as recorded by the shipping carrier

✅ You provide a valid proof of purchase (order confirmation email, receipt, or invoice)

✅ You provide clear, high-resolution photographs that clearly show and identify the defect or damage

✅ You provide photographs of the original packaging, including both interior and exterior packaging materials

✅ The product is in its original condition – unassembled, uninstalled, unaltered, and unused (except to the extent necessary to discover the defect)

✅ All original packaging, tags, labels, and accessories are retained and included with the return

How to Submit a Return Request

To initiate a return, you must email us at InfoGuerip@ripuystore.com within 14 calendar days of delivery. Your email must include all of the following:

1. Subject line: "Return Request – Order #[Your Order Number]"

2. Proof of purchase: Attach your order confirmation, receipt, or invoice

3. Photographic evidence:

   • Minimum of 3 clear photographs showing the defect or damage from different angles
   • At least 1 photograph showing the product in context (full view)
   • At least 1 close-up photograph clearly identifying the specific defect or damage
   • Photographs of the original packaging (inside and outside)
   • Photographs showing shipping labels and any visible damage to outer packaging (for shipping damage claims)

4. Written description: A detailed explanation of the defect or damage, including when you first noticed the issue, the exact nature and location of the defect or damage, and any relevant circumstances

Incomplete submissions will not be processed. We reserve the right to request additional documentation or photographs before making a determination.

Review Process and Timeline

Upon receiving a complete return request:

1. Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 2 business days.

2. Review: Our quality assurance team will evaluate your claim within 5-7 business days. During this time, we may contact you to request additional information or clarification.

3. Determination: We will notify you of our decision via email. Our determination is made at our sole discretion and is final.

4. If Approved: We will provide detailed return shipping instructions. Products must be shipped within 7 days of approval.

5. Inspection: Upon receiving the returned product, we will conduct a physical inspection to verify the reported defect or damage. This inspection may take up to 5 business days.

6. Resolution: If the return is validated upon inspection, we will process your refund or replacement within 7-10 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Please note: Guérip reserves the right to deny any return request or reverse a previously approved return if the physical inspection reveals that the product does not match the photographs submitted, the defect was caused by customer action, or the terms of this Policy were not met.

Approved Return Resolutions

If your return is approved and validated, we may offer one of the following resolutions at our sole discretion:

• Full refund to the original payment method (excluding original shipping costs)
• Replacement product of the same item (subject to availability)
• Store credit for the purchase amount (valid for 12 months)
• Partial refund for minor defects that do not significantly affect product functionality or appearance

The resolution offered will depend on the nature and severity of the defect, product availability, and other relevant factors. Guérip reserves the right to determine the appropriate resolution in each case.

Return Shipping

For approved returns:

• Defective products: Guérip will provide a prepaid shipping label or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs upon receipt of the returned item.

• Shipping damage: Return shipping arrangements will be coordinated with the original carrier. Guérip will cover return shipping costs for verified shipping damage claims.

You are responsible for properly packaging the product for return shipment. Products damaged during return shipping due to inadequate packaging may result in denial of your refund or replacement.

We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance. Guérip is not responsible for products lost or damaged during return transit.

When Returns Are NOT Accepted

Returns will not be accepted, and no refund, replacement, exchange, or store credit will be issued, in any of the following circumstances:

Timing Issues:

• The return request is submitted more than 14 calendar days after delivery
• The delivery date is determined by the carrier's tracking confirmation, regardless of when you actually opened or inspected the package

Documentation Issues:

• No valid proof of purchase is provided
• Insufficient or unclear photographic evidence is submitted
• Required information is missing from the return request

Product Condition Issues:

• The product has been assembled, installed, mounted, or affixed to any surface
• The product has been used beyond what is necessary to discover the defect
• The product has been modified, altered, repaired, or tampered with
• The product has been cleaned with improper cleaning agents or methods
• The product shows signs of misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper handling
• Original packaging, tags, labels, or accessories are missing or damaged
• The product has been exposed to conditions outside normal household use

Nature of the Issue:

• The reported issue is a natural characteristic of the material, including but not limited to: wood grain patterns, knots, or color variations; marble or stone veining, pitting, or color variations; leather texture, markings, or natural scars; fabric weave variations or texture differences; metal patina or finish variations; handcrafted item variations
• Color differences between the product and how it appeared on your screen or device
• The product does not match your existing décor or aesthetic preferences
• The product does not fit your intended space due to measurement errors
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused by improper installation or assembly
• Damage caused by exposure to moisture, heat, sunlight, or other environmental factors
• Damage caused by pets, children, or third parties

Change of Mind:

• You changed your mind about the purchase
• You no longer want or need the product
• You found a similar product elsewhere
• The product was a gift and the recipient wishes to return it
• The product does not meet your expectations for any reason other than a verifiable defect

Order Errors:

• You ordered the wrong item, size, color, quantity, or variation
• You provided an incorrect shipping address
• You were not available to receive the delivery

Definition of Defects

For the purposes of this Policy, a "defect" is defined as a flaw in materials or workmanship that:

• Existed at the time of manufacture
• Was not caused by shipping, handling, installation, or customer use
• Significantly affects the product's intended function or structural integrity
• Is not a natural characteristic of the material or an inherent variation in handcrafted items

The following are not considered defects:

• Minor scratches, marks, or imperfections consistent with the product's materials and manufacturing process
• Color, grain, texture, or pattern variations in natural materials
• Slight dimensional variations within industry-standard tolerances (typically ±5%)
• Variations inherent to handcrafted, artisan, or hand-finished products
• Features accurately described in the product listing, even if the customer was unaware of them

Refunds

When Refunds Are Issued:

Refunds are issued only for:

• Approved and validated returns for defective or shipping-damaged products
• Orders cancelled by Guérip before shipment
• Duplicate charges due to technical errors
• Products that became unavailable after order placement and could not be substituted

Refund Processing:

• Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after the returned product passes inspection
• Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase
• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
• Bank processing times may add 5-10 additional business days before the refund appears in your account

Partial Refunds:

We may issue partial refunds in cases where:

• The defect is minor and does not significantly affect the product's use or appearance
• The product is returned in a condition different from what was described
• Some items from a multi-item order are not eligible for return

Exchanges

Guérip does not process direct exchanges. If you wish to obtain a different product, you must:

1. Submit a return request for the defective item following the process outlined in this Policy
2. Place a new order for the desired product at the current listed price

If your return is approved, you may use the refund toward your new purchase.

Order Cancellations

Before Order Confirmation: You may contact us immediately after placing an order to request cancellation. However, orders are processed quickly, and we cannot guarantee cancellation will be possible.

After Order Confirmation: Once your order is confirmed, it cannot be cancelled, modified, or altered in any way.

After Shipment: Orders that have been shipped cannot be cancelled under any circumstances.

Refused Deliveries: If you refuse delivery of a package:

• You may be charged for return shipping costs and handling fees

Custom, Made-to-Order, and Personalized Products

Custom, made-to-order, personalized, or specially ordered products are non-returnable under any circumstances, including for defects, with these additional terms:

• No cancellations are permitted once production has commenced

BY COMPLETING A PURCHASE, YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO THIS RETURNS POLICY. You understand that returns are accepted only for verified manufacturing defects or shipping damage within 14 days of delivery, with valid proof of purchase and photographic evidence. You understand that all other sales are final. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO DISPUTE THIS POLICY OR REQUEST A CHARGEBACK BASED ON DISSATISFACTION WITH YOUR PURCHASE FOR REASONS NOT COVERED BY THIS POLICY.

Prices posted in our online stores may be different from prices offered in physical stores or in online or other stores operated by third parties. Pricing Errors

In the event of a pricing error, Guérip reserves the right to cancel any orders placed at the incorrect price and will notify affected customers promptly. We will issue a full refund for any payments already processed in such cases.

SECTION 6 - SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

We are not liable for shipping and delivery delays. All delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, weather conditions, natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, force majeure events, or events outside our control.

Once we transfer products to the carrier, title and risk of loss passes to you.

Delivery Inspection: Customers are responsible for inspecting products upon delivery and reporting any visible damage within 14 calendar days as specified in Section 4. Failure to report damage within the specified period will void any claim for damaged goods.

Delivery Access: Customers are responsible for ensuring that products can be delivered to and through their premises. Additional charges may apply for difficult deliveries, and Guérip is not responsible if products cannot be delivered due to access limitations.

SECTION 7 - INSTALLATION AND SAFETY

Many Guérip products require assembly or professional installation. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, professional installation services are not included in the product price.

Important Safety Notices

Wall-mounted items (shelving, mirrors, artwork, lighting fixtures) must be properly secured using appropriate hardware for your specific wall type (drywall, concrete, brick, plaster, etc.). Improper installation may result in product damage, property damage, or personal injury.

Heavy furniture items should be properly anchored to walls where applicable, especially in households with children, to prevent tipping hazards.
